Q: From your first day to today - what's the one value at RBL Bank that has remained constant and continues to inspire you?
A: A healthy work environment which creates a sense of community for everyone and it helps in balancing professional growth as well as personal well-being.
Q: What's your proudest achievement at the Bank, and how did the organization enable it?
A: Ensuring seamless functioning within the team during a critical time when the team was short-staffed, without compromising the quality and timeliness of the work. This wouldn’t have been possible without the constant support and guidance provided by the manager. These contributions were appreciated by the relevant stakeholders time and again by awarding our team for the successful transactions handled by us.
Q: Which aspects of the Bank’s culture have been most empowering in your professional journey?
A: I have always experienced open and transparent communication channels within the team, which foster a sense of being heard, valued, and empowered while contributing professionally.
Q: How has the Bank supported your growth both as a professional and as an individual?
A: My professional journey with the Bank involved transition into leadership role, which required me to not only keep on contributing effectively as a team member but also take on the additional responsibilities associated with being a team-lead. This shift has been challenging; however, the trust shown by the seniors has been instrumental in making it smooth and seamless adjustment. This experience and the opportunity have had a significant positive impact on my professional as well as personal growth.
Q: Looking back at your journey, what would you tell other women about building a career at RBL Bank?
A: I hold a firm belief in the Bank’s commitment to equality and inclusivity, ensuring every individual is treated as a professional, regardless of gender. I experienced this firsthand when I returned to the work after my maternity leave. The team offered necessary flexibilities needed for me to balance my professional and personal responsibilities, but at the same time, there was no sense of exclusion or differential treatment while offering the work opportunities. In my opinion, such a supportive and inclusive environment not only enhances job satisfaction but also provides a sense of mental peace.
