Verified by VISA/3D Secure
Overview
RBL Bank has elevated online shopping security to a new level by offering our customers an enhanced experience with our Debit Cards. In partnership with Visa and MasterCard®, we enable you to shop online safely and securely with your existing RBL Bank Debit Card on merchant websites that subscribe to the services of "Verified By Visa™" (VbV) or "MasterCard® SecureCode™".
When making online purchases, your identity will be confirmed through a simple verification process, giving you an extra layer of security. This service provides you with a password to protect your online transactions, similar to the way you use your PIN at the ATM. With RBL Bank's Debit Card, you can shop with confidence and ease.
RBL Bank Debit Cards
RBL Bank's Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode registration is an easy way to make online purchases with your RBL Bank Debit Cards on merchant websites that have enabled these services. It allows you to authenticate yourself at the time of purchase by using your Verified by Visa/MasterCard SecureCode or a one-time password (OTP) generated by the bank.
This added layer of protection helps to safeguard your RBL Bank Debit Card from any unauthorized use. Please note that if you try to use your RBL Bank Debit Card on a merchant website that does not support Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode, the transaction will be processed as a standard online payment.
Verified by Visa is a Payer Authentication service that adds an extra layer of security when a Card member shops online. Verified by Visa reduces unauthorized online use before it happens by validating the Card member's identity with an additional password.
The Verified by Visa provides you with the ability to attach a password to your existing RBL Bank Visa Debit Card to protect your online transactions, just like your PIN at an ATM. When you shop at a Verified by Visa enabled online store, you'll enter your payment details including your RBL Bank Visa Debit Card number. The online store will then connect with RBL Bank to check whether your Card is secured with Verified by Visa. A pop-up window will appear on your screen, where you'll enter your password and confirm your identity to the merchant. Once your identity is confirmed, your payment will be authorized and the transaction will be completed.
Verified by Visa ensures only you can use your RBL Bank Visa Debit Card to make purchases online by requiring a password to be entered before any transaction is authorized, this would protect you from unauthorized usage of your debit card and your financial information.
