Sunny Uberai

Chief of Staff

Sunny Uberai is the Chief of Staff at RBL Bank, where he brings an extensive experience spanning over 40 years in various areas of banking, including IT, Operations, HR, Finance, Strategy, Transformation and Change Management. His primary responsibility is to aid the Bank in achieving its growth objectives by spearheading development and implementation of strategic initiatives while leading and managing critical projects.

Sunny's work cuts across different functional and business verticals with the objective to ensure RBL Bank remains competitive in the market. He is also responsible for ensuring that various strategic initiatives are aligned throughout the organization to achieve the overall results envisaged.

Before joining RBL Bank, Sunny gained experience across markets of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He worked as a COO/CFO across various levels for ABN AMRO Bank, based out of the Middle East, London, and Amsterdam. He also served as a CIO for ABN AMRO Bank at both regional and country levels in EMEA.

Additionally, he has consulting experience in Asia, where he developed and implemented strategies and led M&A deals.

Sunny is a Chartered Accountant of the 1982 batch and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (1988).
