Murali Ramakrishnan

Non-Executive Independent Director

Murali Ramakrishnan is on the Board of the Bank since April 11, 2024.

He has 37 years of experience in Banking and Financial Service Sector. Murali joined South Indian Bank as an Advisor on July 1, 2020 and was appointed as MD & CEO of the Bank on October 1, 2020. He has substantial experience in the various facet of banking industry viz. Retail, Small and Medium Enterprise, Corporate, Project Finance, International Business, Risk, Policy, BIU etc., in both domestic and international markets.

Prior to joining South Indian Bank, he was associated with ICICI Bank Limited for more than two decades where he was heading various Businesses and Control functions. During the period from March 2012 to August 2016, Mr. Murali Ramakrishnan was the Head of North Asia, Sri Lanka, Middle East & Africa at ICICI Bank Limited.

Murali is a Chemical Engineering Graduate and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Marketing from IIM - Bangalore.
